Poetic Ensemble

2018 Group Exhibition

The Riverside Gallery presents a dazzling Winter Solstice exhibition, titled the “Poetic Ensemble,” from December 20 to January 7. During the darkest part of the year, the exhibition celebrates light, love, friendship, and the hope as embodied in the art. The group exhibition showcases a great diversity of artists including a number of Korean painters such as Boonja Choi, Sungmo Cho, Hee-soo Kim, and Taiwoong Kang as well as the Italian artist Franco Puliti, the British collage artist John Digby, and the American artists Marsha Heller, Sarah Shinhyo Kim, Steven Frim, and Bill Wolak.

From the imposing metal sculptures by Kyung Youl Yoon, the intriguing multi-media works by Yoo Jin, Ungboo Kang, and Mikyyong Yun, to the breathtaking photographs by Joon Park, the range of styles and techniques included in the show will intrigue the viewer’s eye. To see such diverse art ranging from East to West represented in a unified exhibition allows the viewer to enjoy a full range and complexity of contemporary art.

The Riverside Gallery, which has a long history of presenting extraordinary shows such as the innovative installations of Yongshin Cho and the extraordinary view into the art of North Korea in the recent exhibition of Sunwoo Young, makes contemporary art of the highest caliber available and affordable for people who wish to purchase original art to display in their homes. Art is both a pleasure and an investment. The Riverside Gallery will be pleased to connect buyers with artists. You are welcome to meet the artists at the opening reception on December 29th at the gallery from 6-9 pm. The opening will feature a dance video by Hyonok Kim and a bilingual poetry reading in English and Korean by friends of the gallery John Digby, Joan Digby, Maria Bennett, and Bill Wolak.
